5TH SUNDAY FAMILY WORSHIP

When a month has five Sundays we have a FAMILY Service on the fifth Sunday.
This gives us an opportunity to all worship as one big family!  We have crayons and coloring sheets available for kids to use during the quieter parts of the service.

Birth – 23 months

These children are cared for by loving volunteers who shower these tiny ones with the love of Jesus.  Take comfort in knowing we will place your little one’s diaper bag and any other items in a designated area labeled with his/her name.  The nursery is supplied with infant rockers, baby activity playsets and many other age-appropriate toys to make this the best experience for your little one.  Our caring leaders will comfort your child and if he/she cries for an extended period of time (10 minutes) we will contact you, so you can come comfort him/her.  Our goal is for you and your little one to be able to relax and enjoy the service.

2 and 3 year olds

These children will learn that God made them, God loves them, and God wants to be their forever friend.  These kiddos will play, sing, and will hear from Miss Piggy – their very own puppet friend.  They will also have an interactive Bible Story and will make a craft to remind them of what they learned on Sunday.

4, 5, and Kindergarten

These kiddos begin in their classroom with toys and games.  They join the older children for a large group time where they are invited to sing and dance on our stage!  They love to see what Scout – our sheep dog puppet - is up to.  These kiddos return to their own classroom for an age appropriate Bible Story with fun activities, and finish up with a craft they can take home.

1st- 2nd Grade

These kiddos begin their class time with games. They love challenging our volunteers to headbands, bellz, pop the pig, and tons of other games.  They are joined by younger and older kids for a large group time where they are invited to sing and dance on our stage!  Each week we go over what we do at Kids’ JAMboree as they are reminded of what we do to have fun (our guidelines), how to find Jesus (the A, B, C’s of salvation), and how to follow him. They love to see what Scout – our sheep dog puppet - is up to, and after the little ones leave they often have a video that goes with our lesson.  Once the older kids are dismissed these kids have an interactive age-appropriate Bible Story with fun activities and sometimes experiments.  They finish up with a craft they can take home.

3rd-4th Grade

These elementary age kiddos begin their class time with games. They love challenging our volunteers to connect four, bellz, jenga, tenzies, and tons of other games.  They join some of the younger kiddos for a large group time where they are invited to sing and dance on our stage.  Each week we go over what we do at Kids’ JAMboree as they are reminded of what we do to have fun (our guidelines), how to find Jesus (the A, B, C’s of salvation) and how to follow him. They often have a video that goes with our lesson before returning to their own classroom for an interactive age-appropriate Bible Story with fun activities and sometimes they even do experiments.  (It CAN get messy!) These kiddos finish up with a craft they can take home that is a reminder of what they learned in Kids’ JAMboree.

5th-6th Grade

Because we outgrew our classroom space, these students gather behind the Kids’ Registration Desk and then are escorted over to the Feed Lot building (which is the portable building to the right or our main building)  for their age appropriate lesson.  They watch a video and play a game or do an activity to enhance their lesson. The 5th and 6th graders return to the main building before the service ends. Fifth and 6th graders are released after the service and do not need to be picked up,
but we will hold them to be picked up by you at your request.

Swing Riders
These students also have a special job on the first Sunday of each month. In place of their regular class, they serve as “Swing Riders” in the younger classes. Swing riders in cattle drives ride closely along each side of the herd. Their responsibility is to keep the herd together, and they are constantly on the lookout for any animals that might try to break away. They are also instrumental in backing up the point riders as the herd turns.  As Swing Riders in the younger classrooms these students help keep the kids together and focused.  They interact with the kids and help the teachers.  Our Swing Riders love serving and do an awesome job with the little ones.  It is also a special treat for the younger kids to have these “big kids” in their classes.
